ACFS Port Logistics of Brisbane are operating the new PBS-approved Super-B Triple vehicles. The vehicle is 42-metres long and approved to transport 6 TEU per trip.
Having received approval from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) and consent from PBPL as road manager, the new vehicle has commenced operations on a defined route at the port. It follows a substantial period of design, collaboration and trialling with relevant logistics stakeholders to ensure it met all necessary safety and transport standards.
The new vehicle will contribute to the ACFS Port Logistics emission reduction target through fewer truck movements and a more effective operating process.
This is the second Super-B Triple vehicle to operate within the Port of Brisbane on a defined route under strict conditions and controls.
ACFS Port Logistics have bigger plan still to come so follow our posts to see what’s next.
