#ACFS has formalised an agreement with Salta Properties for the Container Yard Expansion of our newly built Altona facility.
The site is boasting an impressive 25,000sqm modern warehouse (with pallet racked capacity for 28,000 pallets), supported by a Container Yard with FCL storage capacity of 1,380TEU. ACFS have formally triggered the further expansion of an additional 18,088sqm which will result in additional capacity for a further 1,580TEU of FCL storage capacity bringing the yard capacity to almost 3,000TEU.
With continued growth in the western corridor of Melbourne, this #smartinvestment will further support the requirements of ACFS’s loyal customers. The Altona facility is adjoining the Maersk Empty Depot and plans include the facilitation of an access gate between the two facilities to also further potentially streamline efficiencies. The ACFS facility will now also directly adjoin the proposed Salta Inland Altona Port that has Rail Connectivity to #PortofMelbourne.
Project will be due for completion by June 2022, in time for our next peak season period.
